Meet Rose Schaller

Like many photographers Rose's interest in photography started at a young age. She was always snapping photos and compiling album after album of images. After completing college and beginning a career in an unrelated field Rose decided to go back to school in 1993 at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) to pursue her passion in photography.

Since then she has built up her photography business mostly through word of mouth. With Rose's experience in photographing children as well as weddings she is able to grow with your family in the hopes of capturing all of your important memories.

Rose started out mainly focusing on Black and White film portrait photography and landscapes. After a few weddings of friends and family she realized how difficult it was to get a wedding photographer that was easy to work with and willing to capture the moments as they unfold. This is what started Rose's career move into wedding photography. Rose has found that she really loves the excitement and emotions of the wedding day and strives to give you photos that will help you re-live those moments.

Rose is able to offer products such as on-line galleries, your own personal website, a CD of images as well as DVD slideshows. Technology is growing so fast it is amazing how the list of products Rose is able to offer changes!

Being an on location photographer Rose works from home to be able to keep costs down so if you hear little ones in the background please understand. Having children of her own Rose prefers to do on location sessions where she can capture children in their own environments where they are comfortable and she is able to bring out the best in them.

Rose is a member of The Wedding Professional Photographers International (WPPI), and The Professional Photographer Society of NY, The Block Island Chamber of Commerce and The Narraganset Chamber of Commerce. These memberships help Rose keep up with technology and the latest trends and help her photography continue to grow. Rose also belongs to two charity photography groups; The American Child Photographers Charity Guild and The Now I Lay me Down to Sleep Foundation. Through these organizations Rose is able to give back to a community in need of capturing precious moments.
