Meet Caroline Ghetes

When I photograph your wedding, I try to do it through the eyes of an observer; blending in, and anticipating moments that can happen in the blink of an eye. Many photographers like to say that they will ""tell your story" through their photos. My approach is to present images to you that can stand alone, emit emotions, and provoke thought. I am a wedding photojournalist with an edge; blending spontaneous moments with creative, artistic, and modern portraiture.

As a teen, I would take my plastic Kodak everywhere with me. I could never just take a "normal" photo of anything. I always felt like I had to do something different, whether it was to take the photo from an odd angle, or wait for something to happen where I could capture it in motion. It was a cheap camera, and a lot of the photos never really turned out very well, but when I did get a "good one", I would be so thrilled.

I went through high school, and surprisingly did not participate in any photography programs. I was a choir and stage crew geek. It was not until after my second child was born, that I decided to take Photography & Digital Photography for one semester. At this point, I had already had a few weddings under my belt, but felt that I could never have too much education for my profession. What I loved about both of these classes, were the weekly projects and the critiques that I received from my teachers and my peers. Both of my teachers often told me they liked that I always thought outside of the box, and that most of my photos drew much interest from the viewers.

As a teen and as a college student, I tried to be original with my photography, in order to spark interest for my viewers. I follow that same path today, trying to give each of my brides something fresh, using their personalities and the emotions and motions of their day to create original and interesting images.

I love photography. I especially love weddings. I truly believe that I was put on this earth to capture life, love, and happiness through my lens. I thank God everyday for this gift that He has given to me, and for guiding me to realize that I was meant to do this.

I strive to live my life for Him, and conduct my business in the same way. At least 10% of proceeds will be donated to a charity or organization that supports God's will in spreading His word and His love to those who are spiritually, physically, and financially in need.
