You Will Like Joe No matter where I go, I bring my camera. I am a photographer. I am a first generation American. My father came to America in 1965 from Italia. My mother’s family came here earlier from Sicily. I have spent my entire life living in Massachusetts,

but have been fortunate enough to travel to Europe, and around the US and Canada. While traveling I have been able to meet different people and learn about different cultures. It has also given me the chance to photograph these places. Venice, Las Vegas, the Dominican Republic, Niagara Falls and Nova Scotia are all places where I was able to capture images that I consider works of my personal art.

I shoot weddings because I enjoy meeting people and their families. Seeing how they relate and how happy they are really makes me feel good. Traveling for weddings and assignments are no problem for me. It gives me the chance to see a new place and meet new people. I have learned photography on my own from traveling and reading, but mostly from practice. When I was 16, I was hired to work for a local newspaper company, where I stayed on until I was made a staff photojournalist. I have since moved away from news photography and gone commercial. Not only for the money, but so that I could control what assignments I take.

Today I also shoot fashion and run a film company, which mostly involves commercial shoots and a little bit of independent filmmaking. I do all my own design and advertising work. I hold a bachelor's degree in communications from Salem State College. My friends and family call me a “go-getter”.
