Meet Amanda Galloway

I grew up in Southern California and had a camera in my hands ever since I was five. Of course I started off with 110 mm film and surprised my family unawares as I pretended I was a photojournalist. Little did I know that I would actually be doing that professionally over 20 years later (or maybe I always knew since I never put the camera down).

As I went from posing my squirmy nieces and nephews in my makeshift bedroom studio in grade school to working in a "real" Portrait Studio (where I didn't have to beg people to let me snap their picture), I transformed from novice into an experienced photographer. I began to have so many people asking me to do their family photos and weddings that I decided once I moved to Indiana, to open my own business doing what I always loved.

Not everyone gets to live their dream, but I am! Today I own and operate Silver Linings Photography and the best part is that I still photograph events myself. I only hire assistants to assist, not replace me. As someone who has had to use the services of a photographer (I couldn't very well photograph my own wedding) I understand the need for a photographer who puts the needs of the Bride and Groom first.
