About Wedding Creativo
Wedding Creativo Photography is an award-winning two-photographer studio, Giorgio Ventola and Sarah Toulouse, specializing in premium custom services with a creative editorial approach.
We are storytellers. Our style is inspired by fashion, film, music, multimedia journalism, visual design, other creative arts, and most importantly, the style and personalities of our clients.
Giorgio, originally from Genoa, Italy, developed his love for photography and film as a child with frequent visits to the cinema watching classic Italian films by directors including Federico Fellini, Michelangelo Antonioni, and Vittorio De Sica. In formal studies, he was most influenced by photographers such as Irving Penn, Ansel Adams, and Albert Watson.
Giorgio established his independent studio in 1980 after earning his degree in Photography and Film from the prestigious Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. He became established as a lifestyle/conceptual photographer working with advertising agencies and corporate creative teams primarily in Chicago, New York and Milan. He is a people shooter and began photographing weddings in the late 80s when his clients in the advertising industry began requesting him for their weddings. Since then, his studio has served advertising as well as wedding and portrait clients.
Sarah is our studio manager, second photographer, and graphic designer. She has an editorial/arts journalism background with extensive experience producing in multimedia platforms for international broadcasting companies. She earned her degree in Communication Arts from Loyola University Chicago. Her photography influences include Leonard Hermann, William Claxton, and Annie Brigman, with art/design inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Wassily Kandinsky, and Tony Fitzpatrick.
As creative professionals Giorgio and Sarah combine their unique backgrounds to offer couples their extensive professional experience and a technically advanced and artistic editorial approach for wedding photography. Preparation, coverage and post-production for each wedding is a collaborative process between photographers and the couple, including going over the schedule, style, exchange of ideas in detail, ultimately envisioning an overall concept to tell the story of each one-of-a-kind wedding.
