Meet Lynette Seelmeyer

While photographing a wedding, my twofold goal is to capture remarkable images while setting everyone at ease. I pride myself on being invisible and everywhere, which gives me the opportunity to photograph all aspects and details of your wedding, often from unique and moving viewpoints. I try to capture all the emotions of the day, and I love capturing the humor that is often in evidence at weddings along with the joy and the anticipation and most importantly, the love. I bring a photojournalistic style and a relaxed but confident attitude to your day.

I have been a serious photographer for many years, if not most of my life. I had a camera in my hands at ten years old and by the time I was a teenager, I was using it for such disparate pursuits as the school yearbook and my biology projects (“Migratory Birds of Northern Montana,” really). In 1992, I graduated from the Communications program at Gonzaga University with a specialization in Photography. During my studies, I received the highest score ever given for a student portfolio and was the photography class and lab assistant.

Besides extensive wedding and portrait experience since then, I have done local editorial work in northern Colorado, and I recently assisted on a cover shoot for LIFE magazine. I am also a member of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI); the largest professional association for my field. I draw my wedding inspiration from the couples who choose me, but also from other noted photographers whose work has inspired me to achieve at the highest level. I live in Fort Collins with my family.
