Wedding photographer David Wegwart has been capturing wedding stories in the Rocky Mountain region since the 1990's following several years of learning about photography. The transition to a career began as he was asked to document the moments of a friend's day. Over time this grew into a passion for emotive captures of the most impactful day in most peoples' lives. Described as having a "fun romantic" style, David seeks to document weddings with an eye to creating lasting artful work that will resonate deeply with his clients.

David is involved in many photographic forums, and spends time helping others to develop in photography. Having been a judge for some years of a frequent contest, David seeks to further his own creative style as he immerses himself in the work and community of other photographers.

Spending time with family, David loves to capture the moments of his own life too. Loving to be with his wife of twenty plus years and three children, he devotes time to helping them pursue their dreams and passions. This passion for marriage and family makes wedding photography the natural place for David in the world of photography.

Having been published both locally and nationally, David continues to be acknowledged by the industry in general. He mentors other photographers and currently has an assistant he is actively helping to develop in the craft. He has won multiple internationally recognized awards and continues placing in competitions with his work today. David currently judges the work of other photographers in a weekly photographic competition for an online forum.
