Meet Alison Williams

It all started when I took a photography class as a sophomore at Manual High School in the middle of Five Points in Denver. Pressured by my teacher, who had taken me as his apprentice (and allowed me to be his annoying shadow), I won first place in the first photo contest I entered. I was addicted. I have since made the huge transition from 35mm to digital, which I am extremely excited about! I have had some of my work published and was able to display two of my photographs in the Center for Fine Art Photography. I have always been envious of those who did what they loved for a living and pursued their dreams. So, I've decided to pursue mine.

I have just recently turned this venture into a business, and firmly believe in making every shot a beautiful one, especially when people are depending on you! After only shooting 3 weddings, I gained the prestige of being accepted into the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association). I was extremely excited and honored because only 5% of wedding photographers out there are accepted and it really says something about being able to capture unique candid moments. Weddings are truly special and I feel I am able to conect with the meaningful moments that occur throughout the day. Every time I shoot a wedding, I know I am meant to do this. I couldn’t ask for better subject matter and I love the social part of being surrounded by new people. On top of that, I am extremely driven to outperform and impress all others. I love my job and am thankful to every person that takes a chance on me.
