"Very disappointed in the tackiness of 3rd place winner, or rather being chosen for 3rd place, or any place for that matter... didn't KNOW gutter photography was acceptable. I am not a prud, but no standards for prize winners? May a acceptable for the client, but disappointed at the depth of your integrity for wedding photography. But maybe this reflects the depth our society has sunk."

"No, this wedding photography contest is completely hosted and funded by the WPD. We do not disclose our contest participants to any advertisers. We intend to keep the contest unique and original, without the typical corporate marketing practices. It's for the community, winners determined by the community."

"I just noticed the second prize is a Dell LCD monitor, kind of cool. My question is: is this contest sponsored by Dell, or completely hosted by WPD? I don't want to have advertisers in my face - well, unless they sponsor a Canon EOS-1DS Mark II SLR!! Hey, I can dream. I'll take the $1,000 please. :)"
