"Taking the Plunge"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 5D
Lens: 15mm Fisheye in an Ikelite underwater housing
Exposure: f/11
Notes:
"My clients were thrilled to be able to do some sort of underwater engagement session, so we hopped into a health club pool in the city and began snapping away. The other swimmers were flabbergasted, and my clients and I had a blast. This shot was one of my favorites of that day - the couple looked so happy, and the lines throughout the frame drew my eyes right to their smiling faces."

"The Getaway"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 1DS Lens: 24 -70 @ 24, 1/250 @ 4.5
Notes:
"This was a fun image shot in the groom's Mustang Convertable. I was attracted to this photo because of the leading lines in the road and the anticipation of the bride and groom."

"Morning in the Paddock"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 5D Mark II
Lens: Canon ES 50mm
Exposure: ISO 3200 f/2.8 1/320sec
Notes:
"This photograph was taken the day after Kate and Matt's wedding in New Zealand. The weather there is always a bit unpredictable and, for some reason, the natural light always seems to be incredible. It has been lightly raining all morning during the shoot and during a quick break in the rain an amazing ray of sunlight came out and lit the scene beautifully.
One of Kate's jobs is to work with the horses on the farm every day to keep them in shape. The horse she is on is one of her favorites and the only one she 'trusted enough' to use for the shoot."

"Bridal Elements"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 5D Mark II
Lens: Canon ES 50mm
Exposure: ISO 3200 f/2.8 1/320sec
Notes:
"Long story short, let's just say I had to climb onto two people while I hung the dress, the bride's life was in danger, somewhat, and yet we both agreed on one thing: that we were going to do whatever it took to get this shot. It turned out exactly as I had envisioned it! I just wanted a non-typical, abstract, & non-sensical representation of the bride with her dress & shoes."

"Sweet Moment on a Rainy Wedding Day"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 5D
Lens: Canon ES 50mm
Exposure: ISO 400 f/6.3 1/80sec
Notes:
"The couple rented this great classic car, a 1961 Cadillac, and it was pouring rain while we were on the way to the reception. When we arrived it was still raining hard, so we were waiting a while for the rain to dissipate before getting out. We were doing some fun poses during the wait, then the bride got a call on the cell, and the groom just gave her a sweet kiss on the shoulder. It was a relaxed loving moment. They had a 1950's retro theme for their wedding so I processed some of the pictures to have a vintage look with a cool tone to match the rainy day feeling. They were very pleased with this look. I liked the juxtaposition of the modern cell phone with the vintage car and style of the bride and groom."

"Final Touch"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 5D
Lens: 50mm 1.2
Exposure: 1/80 @ F/4
Notes:
"I took this photo just a few minutes before the bride walked out for the ceremony. She had already gotten ready, and when I saw her go back into the room with her Dad, I left my spot at the back of the church shooting the processional prep to see if there might be some good photos made. The window light provided a wonderful back light as she made some final touches on her makeup while her Dad gathered himself together to walk her down the aisle."

"Untitled"
Photo Equipment:
Canon
Notes:
"Michelle and John had a beautiful outdoor wedding in rural Connecticut just as the leaves were beginning to fall. This photo was taken immediately following the ceremony as the flower girl led the wedding party and guests to the reception site."

"What Can You Do?"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 5D
Lens: Canon 24-70mm 2.8L (24mm)
Exposure: f4.0, 60th, ISO 320
Notes:
"The observer affects the observed. Clearly the camera is present in this photograph and I think that is exactly why it works. Lisette is looking right at you and it's hard to not feel like you should be shrugging your shoulders or trying to help her out in some way. Actually, it is pretty funny how the moment doesn't seem 'preserved', but really 'stuck in time' without any release from the awkwardness. I love that about photography!"

"Serenity"
Photo Equipment:
Nikon D300
Lens: 12-24 Nikon Lens
Exposure: 1/200th Sec, f5.6, ISO 400
Notes:
"This was the final shot before we went in for the reception festivities. Our first obstacle was waiting for the golfers to finish their putting (the bride and groom were sitting two feet from the green). Our second: getting up the hill. The sun was setting at a fast pace was our third challenge. To avoid artificial lighting, I hurried with the shot with just enough sun remained to light the scene."

"Oh Baby!"
Photo Equipment:
Canon EOS D5
Lens: 24mm
Exposure: 1/25th Sec, f2.8, ISO 640
Notes:
"The baby was so adorable, as she was posed and stared at me with her watery eyes. I approached her carefully with full awareness to lighting, but the flash didn't fire, it fell off and broke right before I click the shutter. I screamed, "Oh baby!"

"Sector 9"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 5D
Lens: 24mm
Exposure: 1/200th Sec, f1.4, 3.5 manual
Notes:
"The groom gave all of his groomsmen Sector 9 skateboards as a gift. They were much more excited about putting them to use than posing for portraits. So we took them down to the street and I had them skate past me and around me as I crouch down on the side of the road (I might add that I was flat on my pregnant belly!). I love blur and movement in my photos; especially when the subject isn't centered or sharp."

"Bride's Waiting Room"
Photo Equipment:
Nikon D200
Lens: 50mm
Exposure: 1/100th Sec, f1.8, ISO 1600
Notes:
"Amber was getting ready with her bridesmaids behind this heavy, decorative curtain. I knew her curiosity would get to her eventually. I had been photographing plenty inside the dressing room and decided to step out and wait for this look. It is one of my favorite wedding images because it's not always easy to catch looks of anticipation. Technically, I didn't want to destroy the beautiful light of the chandelier by using flash, so I bumped up my ISO into dangerous territory (the D200 can be a bit noisy, I've since moved on to the D3) and opened up the lens to f1.8. I pre-focused on the curtain's opening so I would be ready to make a couple frames right when she looked out."
