"Andrea & Michael's Dance"
Photo Equipment:
Nikon D2X, 17mm, 2.8, 1/60
Nikon SB800 with reflector
Notes:
"I normally have two cameras with me at all times: the wide and the zoom. During the dance, I would drag the shutter to 1/30 or 1/15 to get the ambiance light as the background. This image was a split second capture: the bride and groom were dancing wildly and almost tripped. I made myself fell as well to get their facials frame on the camera. And boom this is what I got!"

"Electric Kiss"
Photo Equipment:
Nikon D200, 18-50mm lens
24mm f2.8 and 1/125 sec. at ISO 200
Notes:
"This was shot at Balboa Park in San Diego. The bride's veil was the longest I have ever seen. Mesmerized by its beauty; I centered its focus as the theme. I sat the bride and groom at a precise spot under the tree so there are hardly any shadows over their faces. I then went under the veil with them, almost felt like camping in a tent, and asked the groom to kiss his bride's neck. Snap!"

"Dennis and Erica"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 20D, 16-35 F2.8
1/320th at 5.0 ISO 100
Notes:
"I always enjoy looking for light and shadow-play. With the sun setting outside and the near dark of the inside it was hard to resist this shot. I especially love that you can see a mirror image of them as well as the light coming in around them."

"Radiant Bride"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 1D Mark II N, 24-105 lens @ 24mm
Off-camera Flash
Notes:
"I'd been fascinated all day with the ethereal willowiness of the bride's chiffon wedding dress. It hugged her like a form fitting dress, and yet flowed loosely around her like a Greek statue's gown. Wanting to capture the sun filtering through it I positioned myself to hide the sun behind her head and used off-camera flash to light her up."

"Elegence"
Photo Equipment:
Digital Rebel XTI, Sigma 30mm lens
F1.4 on Aperture Priority
Notes:
"This was taken during an engagement shoot; we just finished out session at the park. On the way back, I noticed an old run-down yellow painted brick building with green tinted windows. I just had to take a few frames with the bride-to-be looking in while the groom-to-be was running to get some water."

"Sassy"
Photo Equipment:
Canon Mark II N, 50mm 1.4 IS lens
1/160s f5.6 ISO 500
Notes:
"I always try to shoot with available light when possible and incorporate architectural structures. With this image I had a beautiful stone wall with some vines and an iron gate in the background. Behind that was another garden; adding a great depth of field to the image."

"Sunset Play"
Photo Equipment:
Canon 20D, 24mm lens
f/5 Aperture, ISO 200
Notes:
"This photo was taken at the end of one of my engagement shoots. The groom jumped in front of the sun, so I thought it would be fun to play and capture the spontaneity. It's always worth a try at every opportunity! This is one of my favorite moments; we all had such a great time."

"Serenity"
Photo Equipment:
Nikon Digital, 50mm lens
f2.8 @ 1/1250 ISO 320
Notes:
"Cecilia and Richard were married on a beautiful, cool and sunny afternoon in Chevy Chase, Maryland. We were wrapping up their formal shots when I stepped over to the side to switch lenses and noticed how great the afternoon light graced them from my new angle. I asked them to hold their pose and look into the distance as I took this shot."

"Julia"
Photo Equipment:
Hasselblad with 80mm Lens, Kodak Natural Color Film
Notes:
"Though cumbersome, a tripod allowed for a steady shot in the gorgeous window light. A bridesmaid brought Julia her shoes so she could put them on while she was seated. The swan-like pose? Just a bride being her beautiful self."

"The Arch"
Photo Equipment:

Notes:
"I love arches and I knew this was the shot to get. The high contrast between the couple's outfits as they blended with the light really made this photo work."
