Lab Color - This is a color model that defines the actual color, rather than how this color was created.
Latitude - The range of a given color in an image.
LCD - Liquid Crystal Display. This is the technology used in the production of most display devices, such as laptops.
Lens - A lens is used with a camera body to photograph images onto film or electronically.
Lens Flares - Irregularities in an image that are a result of reflections inside the lens.
Line Screen Frequency - This is the density of the screen used in the process of printing that creates images by putting together dots to create different shades of grey, also known as halftoning.
L-Ion - Lithium Ion is a rechargeable battery.
Linear Array - A monitor that uses a single row of light sensitive pixels.

Lossless - Means that a particular compression process used does not decrease the quality of the image in any way.
Lossy - A compression technique that results in decrease of quality in the image.
Luminance - This is the brightness information of an image.
