ICC Profiles - Detailed information about color qualities in a device, also referred to as profile.
i-Link - The name Sony uses for FireWire.
IEEE-1394 - Another name for FireWire.
Image Buffering - If you plan on taking a lot of pictures in rapid succession it is imperative to have a large memory buffer. You camera can store the pictures in the buffer without actually saving them to a memory card which can slow down the capturing process.
Image stabilization - This is an option that uses shake resistant lenses in your camera. This can avoid blurry images due to hand movement.
Interpolation - This is a way to increase or decrease the number of pixels in your image. The quality of enlarged images is heavily dependent on this method.
Iris - Mechanism that allows to control of the amount of light introduced to the lens by creating circular apertures.
ISO - This number measures the sensitivity of the image sensor in film to the amount of light introduced. The higher the ISO, the more sensitivity in the image sensor.
