Digital Photography - Pictures taken with a digital camera. This uses electronic devices to record the image as binary data.

Digitizing - Turning other characters into numbers or digits.

Diopter - Much like the lens used in prescription glasses to combat nearsightedness. This feature allows users operating the viewfinder on the camera in a similar way.

Downsample - Creating a sample image with a much smaller size by getting rid of data.

DPI - The resolution of an image or Dots per inch. DPI is a printing resolution unit of measurement.

Drive - or Continuous Shooting lets you take multiple pictures one right after another in succession. Also know as burst.
