How nice it is to see a photographer who is looking for the unusual shot not only in people, but in static objects. Nice work.

Does it remind anyone of that scene from Silence of the Lambs?

Beautiful shot. It's interesting how so many people strive for such perfection in photographs- and make it more about the floor being level and not the actual picture ... and the fact that this gorgeous dress is in this stunning little spot. Great job on this!

Ha I get it, I guess the floor is straight, but the wall and windows are tilted... I really like this hidden detail and locale that creates this interesting detail.

The room - or window - is crooked, not the photo. You can see the head board has less room between it and the window sill on the right more than the left. It's a very old, Germain, bed & breakfast with a very handmade feel to the architechure. But thanks for your comments!

The question or challenge is, how to level this composition in physical space without Photoshop? Obviously the photographer is aware of it by tilting the mattress.

Good catch Sam! I wouldn't have noticed if you didn't mention it, I got very distracted by the georgous picture. I did some alignment on the images. At first I thought the camera was simply not pointed straight, or it was just a simply cropping issue. Then I measured the bed, and side cabnets... My guess is the room or attic is actually tilted... The photographer has offet the mattress to make it seem straight, since the wedding gown could only be hung straight down due to gravity... Intresting anomaly...

Like the lighting and symmetrical composition. Only thing that bothers me (slightly) is that it needs to be straightened out a little. It's noticeable in the bottom of the window sill. Nice shot though..still works.

I love the lighting, and the extensive work involved in the setup. Balance and symmetry is achieved to perfection.

Looks like some Medusa something or other.

When I was on the icon finalist page, I though this photo was of a bride standing on the bed looking ouside the window, until I see the image in full size! Wow.
