6. RJT Pictures (WPD Member & This Entry's Photographer) - (3/11/2008 9:20:04 AM) Thank you Sam, I really appreciate your feedback. Afterall the only way we continually become better is to learn from each other. You are right that everyone looks at it differently and my view may be biased because I was there. Thank you again, I sincerely appreciate you taking the time!!

Artistic Images by Sam Chinigo (WPD Member & Contestant) - (3/9/2008 2:23:07 PM) I understand what you're saying Robert, but we as viewers (who were not there) do not see that it is a church because of the shallow DOF. You obviously were there so you instantly recognize it and know what you were going for. But sometimes what we intend, doesn't necessarily translate to the viewer. But maybe I'm wrong. We all see things a little differently. But, even after you told me what the background is..I still can't seem to form the image of the church. It looks like a gate to me. IMHO...the strength of this image is in the emotion of this kiss (because of the groom's hand on her cheek) ,and the lighting. And the antique grayscale toning simplifies it and gives it a certain feel. I love it, but this one is really about the moment for me..not so much the background. So, that is why I say crop it a little bit.

If it were cropped, it could be just another kissing picture. Thank you for your feedback though, much appreciate.
