Technically the branch is not extruding from her head, but off to the left. It's often hard as a photographer as you get so farmiliar with your subject... Sort of a composition blindness... This shot has all the elements to make it perfect.

I agree with Sam, the branch "invaded" the positive space of the subject, further more it leans the same angle as the bride's form.

I think this image would be much stronger if the subjects were not placed in front of the tree. (Bride actually has a limb coming out of her head.)
