This picture looks great. My husband and I were really just blown away with the overall work you have done on our wedding. Sorry we didn't give you much to work with. we are both a little camera shy but you really did a great job making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. And you really captured some amazing shots. It was a great pleasure working with you!

I agree with the first post more because it's really just an over-tilted image of a plain looking hallway kiss. There really isn't anything magical about it except...that it has a blur. It's not a creative backdrop and seems generic with the light in the shot. Maybe crop the light out, frame it tighter, or use the backlight at the bottom of the stairs to silhouette the couple, or something. Not that it's not a little cute, it just seems too boring for this contest. Sorry!

Thank you everyone for your compliments and support.! This image was taken with available light in a yellowish hallway of a church. No filters used at that time. In photoshop I used a softshadow action to soften the area around the bride and groom. I did not adjust the color except for lighting it up a little. Again, thank you! Kristi Chappell

Being a 3D architect, I must say I found the tone of the ambient and specular very complimentry... I don't care if filters are used or not.

I personally like the yellow and its saturation, whereas some photographers might over do it.

I don't understand why people insist on spreading negativity. This is a beautifully creative photograph that deserves to be recognized. Obviously, some people become bitter when their photo doesn't make it as a finalist. I see nothing that should be described as POOR about this photo. In my opinion, very classy and beautiful!

Don't listen to the previous post, probably just another contestant trying to trash your work! For the previous poster: Nothing wrong with using a filter. If you want to be contructive, why didn't you provide your opinion on the proper procedure to use a filter instead of simply say,"Oh, bad filter." Provide some creditbility then maybe I'll listen.

Ok, I'm seeing more entries like this in contests that should not be considered. Simply using plug-ins filters should not be acceptable. Your judges need to start recognizing basic filters from programs such as Lightroom or Kubota plug-in actions. Or, at least recognize when the filters are used POORLY, as this entry exemplifies.
