2007 CREATIVE Summer Wedding Photography Contest

So you have been shooting since five years old. It's time to put your skills into the test! The Annual WPD Public Creative Summer Wedding Photo Contest is open to WPD members and outside professional wedding photographers alike. The winners will be determined by WPD members and public voters! Beyond the bragging rights, the $1,000 grand prize could be yours!

Contest Awards

• First Place: $1,000 Grand Prize - The grand prize winner will be rewarded $1,000 in cash.

• Second Place: Dell™ UltraSharp™ 2007WFP 20.1-inch Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor is a wide aspect desktop display that redefines the performance of LCD displays with a stylish Dell™ industrial design, and advanced functionality. The 2007WFP provides an excellent option for video editing and 3D imaging as both source and destination video can be viewed in a single window. It also supports advanced features such as PIP (picture in picture) and PBP (picture by picture) and can be activated with a touch of a button right in the front of the display.

• Third Place: $100 Amazon.com Gift Certificate - Purchase CDs, books, spend it anyway you like on Amazon.com.

• Honorable Mentions - Contestant photos and credits will be presented for runner up mentions.

Contest Timeline & Winner Selection

• 4/17/2007 - Early member contest entry: free of charge for WPD photographers.

• 5/1/2007 - Contest entry opens to public photographers: $15 public entry fee.

• 7/15/2007 - Contest submission closes for both WPD members and the public
  ($25 late entry required from 7/16 to 7/28).

• 7/16/2007 to 7/31/2007 - Initial WPD qualification selection.

• 8/1/2007 to 10/1/2007 - Wedding photos open for public viewing and voting.

• 10/15/2007 - Public voting data is analyzed, and winners are announced.

Summer Creative Wedding Photo Contest 2007 Rules

WPD Photographer Member Contest Entry

• Entry for WPD photographers are now officially closed as of 7/16/2007.

Outside Wedding Photographer Late Entry Policy (7/16 to 7/28)

1. As an outside photographer, you must pay $25 late contest entry fee to qualify for your URL portfolio review, and photo submission.

2. Each contestant may submit up to three CREATIVE wedding photos. Creativity must be achieved via a photography concept, or photographic techniques. Only one photo (the one which receives the most votes) will be allowed into the final top three winners selection.

3. You must live and operate your photography business within the United States.

4. You must own your wedding photography business URL, and own exclusive rights to your wedding photos. Your website contains easy-to-find contact information via both email (or contact form), and business phone number.

5. You MAY NOT enter photographs that were not shot by you.

6. If your photos pass the initial contest qualification selection made by the WPD, our staff will contact you in person to validate your legitimacy in your contest participation. An Indication of Proprietary Ownership Agreement must be signed, and faxed back to Wedding Photography Directory.

7. You will be given five days to submit a self portrait and bio in order to claim the winning prize. Failure to submit acts as a forfeit of the contest.
